Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I do like seeing all the kids dressed up in their Halloween costumes. But let's face it, Halloween is all about the candy. Last week we took a trip to Party City to get our Halloween costumes. After taking out a small business loan in order to buy costumes for myself, my husband, and my two girls, my husband decided we also needed to buy some big bags of candy, you know, while we were there and all. My pronouncement that this year we were going to give out pencils, tattoos, and pencils fell on deaf ears. My children said that would be "lame" and that I would embarrass them to all of their neighborhood friends. Sigh. So two big bags of Kit Kats, Reece's Cups and M&M's went into our cart. What can I say, I'm weak and I love candy.
I was strong for about three days avoiding the candy. I told my husband to hide the candy from me or else bad things were going to happen. He offered to put it in the trunk of his car. I agreed, but I still wanted to eat it. I think the candy is really somewhere in the house. I have to stop thinking about it or else I will go in search of it.
I weighed in at Weight Watchers today. I was -3. Which was great, except that I was +2 last week. October has been a tricky month for some reason. My total weight loss is -20.8 pounds. I know that next Friday after my weigh in, I am going to eat some of that candy. It will be Halloween after all, and I am weak against the pull of Reece's cups. I am running in a 5k tomorrow and a 5 mile run on Saturday, November 1 (the day after Halloween). Hopefully I can run some of the candy off.
Man I really want a Reece's cup right now. Sigh.
26 pounds left to go to get to my goal weight!
