New Year, new you?

Happy New Year!  Time to get refocused and get back on track, at least for me, anyway.  Over the holidays I kept working out, but my eating and drinking far outweighed my calories burned.  We went to Disney the week after Christmas and walked between 7 - 8 miles a day around the parks.  But with Mickey bars, buffets, and desserts it was way too easy to give in to temptation and overdo it.

New Years Fireworks at Epcot. To say it was crowded would be an understatement.
So now it's time for those New Year's resolutions.  Did you make any?  Mine is to finally get fit in 2015.  After all, that's the name of this blog, right?  A smaller goal I set was no alcohol for me during the month of January.  Although I love my wine, it really slows down muscle recovery and weight loss.  So I'm giving it up for awhile.  I am still doing my 9Round workouts.  My goal is to workout 5 times per week.  You can read more about 9Round here.  I've been doing it since March, and it's really made a difference in my muscle tone and overall fitness.  I also signed up to run my first triathlon in September.  Want to join me ladies?  Sign up for the Huntersville Ramblin Rose here.
And of course my ultimate goal is to lose 30 more pounds and get to my Weight Watchers goal weight.  Piece of cake, right? :) mmmmm cake....

Did you get a Fitbit for Christmas? I did!  Let me know if you want to be my Fitbit friend. You can cheer me or jeer me!  My goal is 10,000 steps (about 5 miles) per day.  Sounds like a lot, but it all adds up over the course of the day.

Have a great week!

  1. I didn't get a Fitbit, I got a Vivofit by Garmin. It is a fun little motivator. Good luck in the triathlon!
